Springtime - New Beginnings
Spring is my favorite season! It is bursting with new life, new beginnings, and the opportunity to renew and refresh our homes and gardens. Nature is renewing itself as it wakes up from it’s winter sleep with the redbud and dogwood trees blooming, and the wisteria trees starting to grace anything that is available to them to drape their beautiful, graceful clusters of blooms over.
With a fresh new season comes a new beginning of writing blog posts. I have dreamed of writing for some time now, but I keep putting it off for all kinds of reasons from time, to trepidation of how and what to write about, etc. I have decided with this new season, I will start sharing “life”, past, present, goals and dreams, recipes, homemaking life, oils, and of course, God and His word, in this way too. Even if it looks a little scary, because aren’t blog writers, like, “real writers”?!
With the last frost of the season behind us, I am ready to work outside with my rake, clippers, hoe, and trusty little cart to clean up and redesign my herb garden and flower beds. From this, to digging out some paint and stain for a few projects inside and outdoors, I am anticipating to see some transformation in the upcoming weeks.
This is the first year we have placed a seed order, and started all our plants from seeds. It is exciting to watch them grow, and a little stressful to wait on the ones that don’t grow as fast. But now our little seed starts can enjoy warmer weather and sunshine as they grow. I am also hoping my husband can till the garden in the next week or two, so we can get it planted soon.
With it being a new week with new opportunities, I am eager to go get started! See you next time.
